This brochure accompanied residential methane detectors (RMDs) distributed by National Grid representatives to customers in the Upstate New York gas service territory. The brochure describes how an RMD works and what to do if the device indicates a natural gas leak. It includes installation tips as well as a scratch-and-sniff patch to help recipients recognize the smell of odorized natural gas.
