Annual pipeline public awareness (PPAP) safety mailer distributed to residences, businesses, excavators and areas of congregation along the utility’s high-pressure gas transmission pipeline rights of way, as well as emergency officials and public officials in transmission counties. Mailer complies with API Recommended Practice (RP) 1162. Covers natural gas pipeline purpose and reliability, potential gas hazards and prevention measures undertaken, damage prevention, gas leak/damage recognition and response, one-call requirements, pipeline locations, right-of-way encroachment prevention and sources of additional information.
